Meet Our Board and Leaders
Ken and Annie Schwoerer, Administrative Lead
Ken and Annie are 2nd generation homeschoolers and have homeschooled since 2006. "Each child is unique. They have their own God given strengths, weaknesses and gifts. As such, they should be taught in ways that are compatible to their style of learning and growing. Homeschooling allows us to do that. At the Daniel Academy, Master teachers bring their own strengths and gifts to reach the students where they are and to help them advance farther than they ever thought they could!" Annie has been the Administrative Lead of The Daniel Academy since 2015.
Ray and Laura Sanders, Founding BOARD Members
Ray and Laura have homeschooled their five children since 2003. “As a mother of grown children in the workplace, a teenager, elementary-aged student, and special needs child, I’m more keenly aware of God’s faithfulness in our education journey. Although I will always be a proponent of academic excellence and developing a love of learning in our children, I am convinced that God’s greatest desire for our children is for them to be in His presence, and to become intimately acquainted with His Word and His heart for the world. The Daniel Academy has blessed us with a community of believers who are about that very thing. " Laura
Jason and Nancy Damkoehler, Founding Board Members
Jason and Nancy Damkoehler have five children and have been on the amazing home education journey since 2005. Together they have a huge heart for the Malachi 4:6 call to "turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers." They believe that homeschool is discipleship and that even greater than the amazing education homeschooling can bring, is the deep discipleship that can happen in your home as your children learn to extravagantly love Jesus and grow into powerful young men and women of God. Children who's hearts burn for Jesus and are destined to shape and change our world for Him.
Jeff and Kim Williamson, board members
Jeff and Kim have four children and have educated all at home since 2003. "Deuteronomy 6:4-7 has guided our home and our children's education. To teach the things of God diligently to our children, talking of them when we sit in our house, and when we walk by the way, and when we lie down, and when we rise. We desired and found a fellowship of like minded, Christ centered families who honor God's Word and live accordingly. The Daniel Academy is growing and nurturing something beautiful for God and His great glory."
